telecom cloud provider

A telecom cloud provider is a telecommunications company that has shifted a significant part of its business from landline service to devote resources to providing cloud computing services.

The telecom sector has suffered as more and more mobile customers have dropped land lines. The shift to cloud services allows the telecom to repurpose underutilized networking resources and take advantage of existing business relationships.

Telecom cloud providers include AT&T, China Telecom,  Telus, T-Mobile and Verizon/ Terremark.
