Internet SocietyThe Internet Society is an international non-profit organization that acts as a guide and conscience for the workings of the Internet. It was founded in 1992 and is based on Reston, Virginia. The Internet Society supports the Internet Architecture Board ( IAB ), which supervises technical and other issues. Among the IAB's activities is the Internet Engineering Task Force ( IETF ), which oversees the evolution of TCP/IP .
